Last week we had 9 incredible, determined indigenous ladies try out rock climbing for the first time. It was amazing to see them get out of their comfort zones and blossom through out the day. 🥰 DIRTBABE COLLECTIVE: "The day was about breaking down the barriers that are present when accessing climbing. We started the day with a question for the participants to reflect on, "What are your fears & excitements?" They explored the mental & physiological responses we experience when overcoming challenge in climbing: tunnel vision, sweaty palms, elvis legs, doubt, self-talk. Through group discussion, we are able to draw parallels between the challenges we encounter in our lives with the moments that trigger our fear response when we rock climb."
