If you didn’t know, my article on my custom suit supply suits is up! It’s big and quite detailed, so if you’re curious what it’s like to turn a how a two button, mid rise/slim fit pant into the slouchy beauties you’ve seen me wear the past half year, go read it! Here’s some highlights: - my friend Jack worked there (we were friends BEFORE he started working there, so this aint an influencer thing), and as a vintage enthusiast he had tested the MTM himself and gotten good results - James got a flared suit (last few pics)and it came out well, so we know we could have fun with the system - This is NOT MTO. You work from a fitting garment that is a “normal two button” and slim, mid rise pants and then add/subtract inches - for me, it helped to try on a few sizes, RTW, andmy own stuff to explain to Jack what i was after. - note that I NOT see what the system/UI looks like on their end, so idk how it all translates outside of communication. Im sure stuff like posture, buttoning point, back rise/etc, seat size (full, flat ,etc) is what jack did on his own by looking at me - there were a few remakes that we did after noticing some problems (mainly the pants) which are indeed open to people, but im sure a regular sales guy may fight you on the remake. - my suit has the basic notch/peak, and normal waistband btw and I got 4ply fabric - YMMV! Not everyone who works at suit supply is as into tailoring as Jack or me, let alone helps you manipulate the system to get what you want. Clearly it worked out well for me!
