Here’s one of my favorite game changing hacks for when you need a little extra help with volume and lift at your roots. I’ve tried the little metal root clips before without much success. These @curlkeeper roller jaw clamps worked great when I had shorter hair and even now with my longer, lower density curls. 🙌 Discount Code LESLIEJ15 to save $$ #affiliatecode
When I use the clips I wait until my hair is maybe 79-80% dry before putting them on.
The number of clips I use really depend on what my hair looks like in that moment. I just assess where I need/want extra lift and go by that.
After adding the clips, I will carefully diffuse only for a few minutes. I do my normal side to side, upside down diffusing routine until about 95% dry before removing clips (carefully because after diffusing, some curls can be a little out of place and I don’t want to pull apart any already formed curls)
I finish off diffusing to 100% dry and with a little oil will scrunch out the crunch. The volume always amazes me 🤩
What’s your favorite way to achieve root volume?
P.S. Still obsessing over last week’s wash day results with @pumphaircare (review coming soon) 💕
