*sound on* A few weeks ago, we went down to Medellin, Colombia, to start recording the next record. I entered in true Margot mode: a grand vision, no sheet music, a few melody ideas and a couple of prayers. We left with 21 minutes of music recorded in 4 days. It’s taken me a moment to process this session as I’ve never felt so fulfilled. None of this would have been possible without the team we created at @elaltoestudio, where we lived and provided us the perfect conditions for inspiration and creation. @riodenaneiro @sierrasotoa - we really threw you in the ring with us and you held us down with so much support, no ego and insane musicianship. @bigkikoaudio @davidpd78 - I have never worked with engineers who were equally as sensitive as musicians. I’ll never forget when Kiko was worried we weren’t going to capture the same emotion because it stopped raining outside. Finally someone who is on the same, dramatic plane as me! To my @juanvillacrez , I couldn’t be more proud of the writing and production team we’ve become - you continue to push me to be my most honest self. Te amo It could have gone all the way sideways. Instead, so much magic happened. I can’t wait to go back and finish the record soon ❤️
