Aιώνια η μνήμη. This is one of the more personal images I’ve styled, in homage to my Yiayia Kula. Peering through the branches of a fig tree, you can catch a glimpse of her wearing a blue dress in this old photo. It’s sitting on a plate I brought home from a potter’s studio on Paros. A pair of her earrings rests to the side. The white porcelain figs are a nod to her home, adorned with Greek sculptures and an ornate, nearly all white living room. If you look closely you’ll see a face on the small blue plate where the figs rest, a reminder that the spirit of people can live on in objects long after they are gone. May her memory be eternal.
