Transformation Post Both resilient, both happy, both beautiful versions of Me. Picture 1 (2016): Retired from my D1 college soccer career and took a year off of the gym. Dropped 2 pant sizes of muscle due to not having a coach yelling at me to go faster or lift more, no 6am lifts or 3-a-days. Living my best life as a student in Miami and obsessed with nutrition, yoga, and outdoor activities with friends. Standing around 125lbs Picture 2 (Early Spring 2021 post @1and1life challenge): Gyms closed forcing my training to center around my KB’s, so when they re-opened last September I shifted to the barbell and lifting heavy shit again. During the winter I eat more calories to fuel my strength lifts and do less cardio. Standing around 140lbs. I have never trained to look a certain way, but to do what I love, to try new things, to have fun, and not put pressure into being all or nothing. Life ebbs and flows so my training does too. In winters I stay inside, lift heavy shit, and eat dense warm food. (I’m a hermit in the cold🥶) In summers, I run/bike as my commute and for therapy, maintain my strength lifts, and stay active outside as much as possible (☀️👶) I do not live for the gym, but I do love the increased energy, feeling strong, and having a body that allows me to do whatever I want. Outside of the physical, exercise is my outlet, my therapy, and how I chose to play. Put simply, I train to feel alive and pain-free. And when my training dips, my body definitely feels it. I love how my body continues to change from the different stimuli I place on it. You have to love the process, love your body no matter what shape it’s in, and not put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect all the time. Your body doesn’t make you beautiful, how you think about yourself does! Live how YOU like, with the body that allows you to do just that🙌❤️✈️ ❤️❤️ Coach Meg
