A few Mondays back at @el_floridita_hollywood listening and learning from the great Rigoberto Lopez on bass. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🎶🎶 This was one of the first guys I met in the scene; my teacher told me to go seek him out to learn the mystical ways of the tumbao. I ended up seeing him play ALOT around LA back in my early tumbao days and occasionally sat in too. But man Rigo has got an incredible swing, if you want to hear him check out the album Jugando con Candela by Adalberto Alvarez, just some phenomenally groovy playing, that cd lives in my car’s CD player (yes I still have a CD player!!!). And Rigo is just the nicest guy ever. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 this was my first time seeing him play in years it was nice to catch up.
