‘rainbow songs’ by @ghostorchard is out today. sam hit me up forever ago about some pedal steel and other textures for the tunes they were working on. the email caught me in one of those perfect windows of time where i was able to just focus for a couple days and overdub and overdub. one of the real joys of being a collaborator with someone who’s not afraid to mute / chop your stuff is that first impulses are completely fair game. imperfection is something they may enjoy and totally okay to include in the giant zip file you’ll be sending back. these songs struck me like sam’s other record ‘bunny’. a world of timbre and space so unfamiliar but also so familiar and comforting. truly unique & special stuff. definitely worth a little time with your ears this friday 🎧
