London Marathon: 5 week to go. In the late 1930’s Great Uncle Charles was working in Delhi as a salesman for the Anglo Indian Tiger Meat Company and never lost his enthusiasm for eating large mammals. In the early 50s he took a three month trip to the foothills of the Himalayas to hunt for tigers but also to take advantage of the high altitude to train in the oxygen thin atmosphere. He quickly realised the benefits of such training although this wasn’t fully understood at the time. Unfortunately for him ( but fortunately for the tigers ), Charles temporary lost the sight in one eye after fighting with a goat and was unable to successfully bag anything larger than a rabbit.
