“I've been on quite a few cool productions, from music videos with talented, famous artists, to indie films with shoe string budgets. I have a million stories and it would be an exercise in futility to try and pick one. But my dream project is to be on the set of my first feature film as a director. It doesn't matter which one (I have quite a few ideas ready to go, and even more that are yet to ready to be written). Hopefully by the time I'm 40. I can wait! Vitaly mainly works on film sets and while a lot of the time he gets hired as a PA or grip, he usually wears many hats. He has experience in camera operating, lighting, set design, costume, stunt action and stunt driving— he can AD, AC, produce, and even act! For passion, he is also a writer/director currently working in post his my second short film! He has been working in film on and off (more on as a freelancer the past few years) for over a decade, having started as a skateboarder/theater kid.⁠ ⁠ Vitaly was born in Kiev and came to New York when he was five years old, after the Soviet Union collapsed. “My family is Ukranian Jewish and when my mother was young, she was discriminated against for her Jewish nose and other things, so she renounced her heritage. This, amongst other things, caused her very Jewish father to leave the family. He came to New York. Years later, when my family was thinking of coming here for a better life, he had a change of heart and helped get us green cards.
