We’re wrapping up our series of commands to teach your dog with the command: “heel.” Note: this command may be difficult for your dog to learn, so it will likely take multiple training sessions. Start with your dog standing next to your left leg with both of you facing the same direction. Hold a treat in your left hand near your waist. Say your dog’s name to get his attention. Take two steps forward, if your dog comes with you, say “heel,” mark the behavior and praise him with a treat.
