The seventh and final day of the seven days of champions highlights the two time Super Pro Track Champion. Mr. Bob Murphy Jr. from Downingtown drove his dragster straight to domination this season.
This relaxed man can be found in the pits shooting the breeze, making jokes, finding new friends and just hanging out. He is that guy open to helping someone out in need at the track or welcoming new racers into his racing family.
Some question just how he is able to get that win or keep the consistency. The secret is very simple and not what many would even think. Yes, Bob is a talented racer, hands down, no questions about that fact. But his success is more based around his mentality regarding the sport.
No matter what anyone thinks, that a race against Bob is an automatic win for him before even staging, that is not how Bob sees it. It does not matter what round, which opponent or what vehicle, Bob goes into each event with a laid back style. He races because he loves racing. The added pressure of winning or the overthinking about set up or competition doesn't exist. That mentality is seen to some as a super power when it comes to racing. But Bob views it as a way of life.
'Murf' drove his dragster to two wins and one semi-final appearance this season, along with multiple round wins.
When Bob is not at the track, this Christmas Day birthday boy is bound to be keeping busy doing something. From cooking and spending time with family to watching his favorite football team.
Maple Grove would like to congratulate Mr. Bob Murphy Jr. on his second Super Pro Track Championship.
Special thank you to Bob's family for the pictures and information, you have a great husband. Also, shoutout to Diane and David from www.division1photos.com for pictures of Bob.
