Have you been to Zaatar? From the falafel and flatbread wizards that brought us Umi, this Middle Eastern spot opened to our delight this summer on George’s Street. They’re the first eatery in Dublin to serve manakish; a flatbread typically eaten for breakfast, described by Zaatar as “a pillar of Middle-Eastern and Levantine cuisine”. So called after the titular dish, Zaatar have made a name for themselves serving the crispy, chewy dough topped with a traditional spice blend, made up of Palestinian and Jordanian zaatar & sumac, sesame seeds, and extra virgin olive oil. Basically, if you’ve been craving a meal with all the cheesy goodness of a pizza, and all the fragrant flavour of the Middle East, your prayers have been answered. 📍 George’s Arcade 📛 @zaatardublin2 📷 @emerrkelly 👉 lovindublin on Tiktok #lovindublin #zaatar #dublin #haveyoubeen
