This week, we are flying to the Lower 48 to spend time with family for the holidays. I’m remembering this time last year & just how different circumstances were. I’ve shared before about our financial struggles and feeling like our life here in Alaska would not be sustainable anymore. I got on the plane in December 2021 very discouraged and unsure how we would ever make our way back to the state I loved dearly. ⁣ ⁣ So much has happened this year. Collin & I have learned what it means to be on the same team, in our business and in life, which has given us a renewed drive to live life differently. For us, that means owning our own business and sticking with it no matter how challenging. It also means not having an address to call home, but rather a home on wheels that feels like home no matter where we park. So this year, while I have mixed emotions about leaving Alaska for this short time, I can step on the plane confident in where we’re headed and excited to return in 2023 to continue chasing our huge dreams. There may be some questioning looks from friends and family when we’re back home about how we choose to live and that’s ok. It’s not for everyone.
