Part 2 of our new series … How I plan for my kids birthday parties! In case you’re new here, I started my business in 2012 as a luxury event planner. But now, I pour my focus into our retail store & balloon installations. We always get a lot of questions about party planning, so I wanted to start a little series about how I plan for my kids parties! We’re keeping the party going with step 2: location, guest list, entertainment & what time of day to host! 📍LOCATION: do what what’s best for you and your personality. To me, hosting at a location is more work & stress so I love an at home party. For others, hosting at is their own personal nightmare. Do you boo! 😉 📋GUEST LIST: a lot of times this is determined by the location you choose. For younger kids, the guest list is more open and fluid - it’s typically your friends and family. For older kids, it’s mostly their classmates, teammates & their friends. 🥳ENTERTAINMENT: the party activity is usually driven by the location, as well. What your kiddo wants to do for their birthday might narrow down the location, which will also help you create the guest list! ⏰TIME OF DAY: probably one of our most asked questions is “when should the party start?”. And the answer is - whenever it works for you! For younger kids, always follow their nap schedule. So if they nap from 12:00-2:00, start that party at 2:00 or 3:00. If you’re juggling two nap schedules that don’t overlap, choose one kids’ nap schedule that you can’t sacrifice and base it off that. This will also help you have more freedom to finish party setups! For older kids, think about seasonal sport schedules to help with party attendance. Maybe even consider a Sunday party, for example, since a lot of sports happen on Saturday mornings. Stay tuned for part 3 in this series coming up soon! 🥳 We’re going to break down what I do the week leading up to the party! - #partyplanningideas #partyplanningtips #howtoplanaparty #hostingtips #kidsbirthdayparty
