I shared this story in my .. ahem.. stories... but here we are: BEHIND THE LENS 📸📣 This stunning bride has the most captivating, vibrant smile that lights up a room. Joy radiates from her. Completely in the moment of portraits, I dubbed this the “1996 photo” comeback. Like straight out of a wedding from the 90s (or 2010s depending on the wedding vibe) I wanted to put all the bouquets around her as she continued to radiate. Remember all those cheesy bouquet photos in old albums? The flowers on the train, the touch of color on the roses, etc. Yes this screamed cheese to me, but sometimes the situation calls for it! And ever since I shot this, I kid you not, I’ve seen the exact same pose over a dozen times. It’s everywhere! And I honestly never saw it once! It’s a humbling lesson to remember there are no totally original ideas anymore. You can make it your own, but I promise you it’s been done in some way or another. And this wasn’t exactly an earth shattering concept. Be ready for any idea to spread like wildfire.
