"We shot "Out of My Head" over the course of two days in and around Dublin, Ireland, in a series of diverse locations with rapidly shifting weather and lighting conditions. During scouting, we looked specifically for an interior location with great windows so that we could largely take advantage of natural light (only lightly augmented). In Ireland, weather shifts on a dime, so we knew we'd be at the mercy of the elements during our exterior scenes. For all of these reasons, filming on the Arriflex 16SR on 200T and 500T made perfect sense, allowing us to be mobile and flexible and still make beautiful images in the field. We wanted the video to feel like a fluid, ever-shifting dream, capturing the forward rush of the song, and 16mm provided the perfect mood, with its soft colors that feel like a memory.
