The Yater Spoon is living testament of progression in surf design. In the mid 60's, Renny Yater modified the D fin by removing the back area to develop a "looser" feeling and find more maneuverability on the wave. This fin is a perfect compliment to any classic single fin longboard, providing stability when walking the nose and exceptional turning abilities on the face. We like to think we're tapping straight into Renny's unique style and masterful craftsmanship when using this template in our boards.
