Bunche, UN head of Special Political Affairs, at #UnitedNations Headquarters in #NYC.⠀ ⠀ Dr. and Mrs. King stopped in New York to visit the Bunche family on their way to Oslo, Norway, where Dr. King was to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1950, Mr. Bunche had himself become the first African American to become a Nobel laureate.⠀ ⠀ Dr. King and Mr. Bunche struggled together for years for the ideals they shared.
