Tezontle is a studio that oscillates between the worlds of sculpture and architecture, producing work in various scales and local materials. For Matos and Cantú, the Centro Histórico, where colonial constructions were erected centuries ago over the remains of the Aztec civilization, is both a source of inspiration for their work and evidence of Mexico’s complexity.
