[2/2] As an enthusiast I obsess over the vehicles – their provenance, exclusivity etc. But as a photographer, and one experiencing the marvel of the @concorsodeleganza_vde with the wonderment of fresh eyes, I got sucked into scenes of glamorous people ogling and talking about the vehicles. It was the presence of people that made these images, these cars, this event, feel more special. More relatable. Similarly, it is the people that I meet that make automotive culture so special and why I love going to these events. Individuals who started as friends via IG but finally met at the @concorsodeleganza_vde or @fuoriconcorso. People like @remidargegenphotographies whose photography of this very event inspired me go in the first place. @iamandrewsa who is hugely talented, exceptionally personable (despite the lack of sleep) and the reason my retreating hairline avoided almost certain sunburn. @ccourjon who is just as cool in person as his incredible photography would suggest. @tedgushue with a last minute “come to the event I’m organizing,” that was staggeringly cool and resulted in two of my favorite images from the trip. @stephan_bauer, another wonderfully talented individual who I chatted with after meeting automotive-journalist-royalty @basemwasef. @simonkidston who I could listen to talk through the nuances of a vehicles history for hours upon hours on end, even in 90 degree heat. Shooting an image of @valentino_balboni_official whose responsible for...well...Lamborghini (just look him up). And finally sharing the whole experience with family @alfatouring.
