Today, we’re uplifting the words of @emilwilbekin from our Black Healing Remixed Conference about the progress we’ve made in Black culture when it comes to reimagining mental health & masculinity. ✊🏾 ✨ As we recognize this progress, we also know that the work is not finished. #MentalHealthLiberation

Thinking about mental health & masculinity, what are some Black cultural moments that can help us recognize how far we’ve come?
“I think about today, that we can show up however we want to show up in our sexual identity and orientation, that we can be gender non conforming and that we can have a Lil Nas X. We can have a Saucy Santana. We can have Black trans women really leading the forefront of advocating for themselves. And just how Black women have shown up and are showing up in politics and entertainment, and all these different spaces. So we’ve come quite along way. People are more comfortable in their skin, but in that comfort - we are still fighting for Black liberation, we are still fighting for ourselves, and we are still fighting at all the intersections of the Black community.”
