Happy Indigenous People’s Day. It’s the 1st nationally/presidentially recognized day for Indigenous people. Crazy it has taken so long. When I’ve told friends that there isn’t 1 day (not month) to celebrate and learn about our heritage and history which can only travel through the stories of the indigenous people they didn’t even realize it. It’s been our country’s most over looked people group. There’s lots of reasons for this. My entire family is proudly on the role of the Potawatomi tribe. Here are some pictures of my family.
