How can I avoid feeling bad in midlife? Has that thought crossed your mind? Don’t worry you’re not alone many of us in midlife think of that sometimes. After spending some time figuring it out I’ve come up with 3 personal thoughts. 1. Surround yourself with supportive optimistic, kind people who are always learning and working on themselves. 2. There are many speed bumps on the road of life as I’m sure you will know. However, if we can keep an optimistic mindset at all times life becomes easier. That doesn’t mean to say that things won’t go wrong That doesn’t mean to say we will not have pain in our hearts at times. That doesn’t mean to say we will not have difficult and challenging times. However, what it does mean is that deep in your HEART you know that you will get through whatever you’re going through. Deep in your heart you know that this too shall pass. You know that whatever you’re going through now is temporary. Optimism is different from being positive. Positive can be toxic and it can make us deny the reality around us. Optimism is a belief, a resilience that we will get through it. 3. Take care of your body. Exercise as much as you can safely do. Find a good exercise routine and stick to it. Work on your mobility, balance, strength, and of course heart health doing cardio. Eat the right amount of healthy foods as much as possible. Drink lots of water. Midlifers are the Rave generation and many of us may not be as HEALTHY in our lives as we could be. (Speaking for myself!!). But So many studies show that in midlife more than any other time it’s IMPORTANT to be super healthy. Get your exercise hat on. Get your healthy eating hat on and just get to it. You can do it.
