After 2 years of leading a pretty low waste life in India (mostly Goa), I’m shocked by the single-use plastic consumption in Switzerland and Scandinavia (my current location)! “Conscious” restaurants still use plastic straws, many cafés serve drinks / food in plastic containers even while eating in, and supermarkets like Coop sell veggies like broccoli and bell peppers in individually wrapped plastic 😮 All their recycling and waste-to-energy initiatives are commendable, but shouldn't reduction be the first priority? This is a gentle reminder that for those of us who live in India, reducing everyday single-use plastic waste has never been easier!
