The writing was subpar, they shouldve focused more on the horror aspect imo. This movie had an 8/10 potentially but the timeline was messy. #SPOILERS (sorta) I think they shouldve opened to the main characters playing the game first hand (after meeting and the whole initiation or wtv for the story aspect), then the demon is released/summoned but nothing to happen as they should build it up with suspense. Then Kasey’s dad or Cole’s mom explain to them the risk to playing the game but have them stay naive until Mila (or someone) dies. Then the priest should guide them to defeating the demon instead of going for “the power of love” trope.
