The other day, I had the privilege and honor of speaking with a group of bright, curious 3rd graders for Veterans Day. It’s hard to put into words how much moments like these mean to me. Sharing a bit about what it’s like to be a SERE Specialist, talking about survival skills, and seeing their eyes light up as they asked question after question reminded me of why I chose this path. These kids are our future, and having the chance to show them what service and resilience look like is a privilege I don’t take lightly. Seeing their genuine interest and respect for Veterans Day filled me with pride and gratitude. Here’s to the next generation, and here’s to all those who’ve served and continue to serve.
