We all said thank you to the tremendous Brig Owens at yesterday’s memorial service. Brig was a triple threat player from U of Cincinnati at a time when the NFL didn’t “allow” black QB’s. He was traded by the Cowboys to the WFT because he was an agitator. He played for 15 seasons as a Safety and then served the NFLPA as Assistant Executive Director. He held this team together through two failed strikes, continued to serve the Union and went on to be an outstanding executive and chair of Super Leaders in DC. Love you my friend and thank you.
