Octoloop Designed as an LP sleeve, halfway between pop art artefact and artist’s book, Octoloop enables physical interaction between art and music. The sleeve encloses eight LP-sized cardboard discs, printed using various techniques, including silkscreen, etching, Wood cuts and laser cuts. They are meant to be read as they revolve on a turntable. Each of those cardboard disc is associated to a clear, single-sized Flexi disc, with a groove that infinitely loops on itself. Stacking both discs on the turntable provides a simultaneously visual and acoustic experience of the work. Their physical characteristics (grain, composition, texture, colors) combine to produce a unique, never-ending symphony.
