This summer we set out to make sure our neighbors in NYCHA were connected for free home internet and we did just that! If you are are not a NYCHA resident, you may still qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program. Please call our office if your household income is 200% or less than the federal poverty guideline (ex: at or less than $35,775 for a household of 4) or If you or your child or dependent participate in certain government assistance programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or other programs. We will help you register for the Affordable Connectivity Program. Special thanks to our partners @educationsuperhighway @riis_settlement @scs4ny @ccdworldwide @nyccomptroller @cwaunion and the resident associations of Queensbridge, Ravenswood, and Woodside Houses. thank you to my neighboring council member and colleague @julmenin for the support & connecting us to Education Super Highway! Lastly, all of this would not have been possible without my team- the entire staff + interns all made it come together šŸ™‚ šŸ“ø @by.jasbawa Special shout out to photographer extraordinaire, Jasmeet, for volunteering this summer at every Free Wifi registration event.
