Took myself to see @billieeilish at the 02 London last night + I’m so glad I did because it was genuinely one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. What Billie + Finneas have achieved in such a short amount of time is genuinely awe inspiring. Especially as they write + produce mostly everything themselves when normally in pop there can be about 15 people contributing to a track. I was in tears a few times because Billie writes lyrics that deeply resonate + sings them in such a way that reaches your core. It seems like she bares her soul + that’s why she’s generated such a loyal following that adore her. A true artist. On a production level, it’s such a well oiled machine. From the flow of the set that has moments of high energy followed by moments of rest; delicate songs weaved between bangers. The way the stage consisted of simple shapes that subtlety morphed to suit each mood yet kept it kinetic + exciting. The tech team knew exactly where to be and at what time. Particularly loved the way the LED stage had green and red dots at one point so the crew knew where to put the chairs. I’ve seen a few videos online of Billie looking exhausted and burn out on this tour so I was a little concerned about contributing to that pressure on her but decided she was going to do the show anyway + I’d like to see it. It was her 6th + final sold out show at the 02 + she gave it her all, captivating everyone in the room for the entire show. I think there are only a few more shows left of the tour + then I hope she has a long + massively deserved rest. A superstar of our generation without a doubt. 💚 #BillieEilish #happierthanevertour
