Meet our 2023 Summer Residency open call review panel! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sean Fader (@photoartstar) is an artist/professor at @tischphoto/Wassaic Project legend (if you ever came to Heather Metal Parking Lot, he helped put that together). Jamillah Hinson (@j.amillah) is an independent curator and arts programmer with a focus on historical and contemporary Black cultural and artistic traditions. Jessica Hong (@jessica.s.hong) is the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Toledo Museum of Art. Steven Sergiovanni (@sergnyc) is a curator/former Director of Mixed Greens gallery/founder of @theremix.nyc. Pennylane Shen (@dazed.and.confucius) is an artist consultant, curator, educator, and owner of artist consultancy Dazed and Confucius. More info than we can fit into an IG caption on everyone is at the link in our bio! (We're really running up against that character limit with these posts.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Summer residents receive 24-hour access to an adaptable, semi-private 200–300 square foot studio in refurbished livestock pens in Luther Barn. Accommodations include a private bedroom in a shared house, complete with common spaces, 1–2 full bathrooms, and a kitchen (artists participating in our Family Residency will receive a private house). Artists-in-residence also have access to our print shop, wood shop, and ceramics studio. Monthly programming includes open studios, group studio visits with our embedded critics, @ghostofadreamart, and one-on-one studio visits and artist talks with 2–3 creative professionals, our Director of Artistic Programming, and WP staff. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Applications for both the residency and our 2023 Summer Exhibition are due Tuesday, September 26 at midnight ET. More info—including an FAQ and recordings of last week's info sessions—at the link in our bio! We can't wait to see what you've been working on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #wassaicproject #wassaic
