I stand in my belief that it is critical we make the right decisions today, for the sake of the world tomorrow. That is why today’s meeting between Vice President of the United States of America Kamala Harris, select Heads of State and Government of CARICOM member states and President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, was so important. These decisions and actions we take will help to accelerate the implementation of the U.S.-Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis (PACC 2030), an initiative that Vice President Harris launched at the Summit of the Americas in June, which will strengthen energy security and climate adaptation in the region. My sincere thanks to @VP, President of the Republic of Suriname and sitting Chair of CARICOM Chandrikapersad “Chan” Santokhi, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and Co-chair of the Food Security Committee, Dr. Irfaan Ali; Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and Co-chair of the Energy Security Committee Dr. Keith Rowley, and President of the Dominican Republic His Excellency Luis Abinader, for making this meeting one that was productive.
