Unfortunately @harrysberries suffered too much damage from the rain, and will NOT be at the Farmers'Market this weekend, January 14th-15th. With MORE 🌧️ on the way, we are unsure of the recovery time, and when there will be availability again...🍓 We'll keep you updated. The Beauty of our location is that @harrysberries runs parallel to a "Mostly Dry" River ,"bed" for most of the year, but when it rains this much, we are susceptible to "too much of a good thing", and of the now fully flowing river, filtering through the soil, replenishing our ground water.....We're made to WAIT....to dry out. Located in the Oxnard, California Plains at 154' feet above sea level, our sandy soil is the PERFECT soil for growing strawberries with their finicky roots, they don't prefer to be surrounded by water 💦.. BUT even this soil can't efficiently absorb the rain we've received with MORE on the way.
