We finally got some good weather that we needed to get the races started this weekend. When running a day time race it usually makes for a hard groove that you don’t want to get off. We ran a different format with three rounds of qualifying then only two main events. Wouldn’t be what I wanted every weekend but the change was interesting. I grabbed a 2nd in Main Event number 1. Felt like we had good pace, but I lost touch of Brandon early. I was able to win a dicey @missionfoodsus #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. That felt good as it seemed like forever since I won one. In Main Event two, it was a another dicey one. Got a good jump, but went forward and backward until getting into 2nd. There was a red flag restart where I was able to take the lead. I got taken down going into the next turn. I was able to restart and make up some ground to finish 8th. I was pissed because I felt like a big win was there and it didn’t happen. As for the incident itself, I’m fully aware it wasn’t intentional. Both @briarbauman and I knew how important of a weekend this was and after Main Event 1 the pressure shifted to his side. Was it a clean out? Yeah... But I’m in no way shape or form saying I owe him one and I accepted his apology and have a lot respect for him. At the end of the day, shit happens, and I will fully admit that I’m no angel. With racing these guys week in and week out while going for a championship this stuff is gonna happen, especially on tracks like this. Much respect brotha. On another note, so thankful for the air fence @americanflattrack provides and huge shout out to my @alpinestars suit and @bellhelmets. I had not a scratch on me, but my air bag went off and they took a beating. Thanks everyone for reaching out to ask if I was good. Now hopefully Hurricane Ian can piss off. 📸 @ladylassen & @timlesterimages
