I was single for 27 years with no luck. So, I thought I’d try something. Before a random first date I was going on last summer, I took a photo of myself crossing my fingers for good luck. (Second pic in this set was the first one I did) The first date went so well that I kept doing it before nearly every date... and dare I say, IT WORKED? I got my first ever boyfriend a week after the last photo was taken. This might be the silliest thing in the whole world to some who read this, but finding these photos in my camera roll made me smile. Important note: I spent my 27 single years learning to love my own company and my incredibly rich friendships, and I am so proud of that. I’m proud of the way I learned to view myself as a single person. But I was always in the back of my mind hoping to find someone special to do life with. No timelines or deadlines, but I held out hope that it would happen sometime. And now it has! 🫶🏻 thank you @hinge!!
