TW: medical surgery results, progress, etc. One year ago today I was able to have my first set of gender affirming facial surgeries at Northwestern Memorial Hospital performed by @marcoellismd which included: • tracheal shave • orbital time contouring • frontal sinus setback • brow lift • hairline advancement The healing for this absolutely sucked (mainly because of the hairline incision that reached from ear across the forehead to the other ear). The timeline for these photos go from (1) right before surgery, (2) 1st photo back in my hospital room, (3) About 4AM the first night, (4) 1st day home, (5) Day 4, (6) Day 5, (7) 8 days post-surgery. These past couple years have been absolutely sh*t for a lot of us, especially trans people. But it was such an empowering journey to go through my surgery process.
