I’m a Finalist 😳🤩 This week was definitely a rollercoaster for me, but I said from day one I would do whatever it takes to get to that final, and here I am! I couldn’t be prouder of my journey, and I am so glad that I have been able to speak about topics that are so close to my heart....(prepare for a little mental health chat) I have seen my positivity and confidence be marked as cockiness and arrogance online, my mentality and confidence comes from being someone who for a very long time hid in a shell of someone I wasn’t, someone who felt life was only ever negative and someone who at times in life no longer wanted to exist. It has taken me years to have this ‘Positive Mental Attitude’ that I always bang on about, it’s a coping mechanism a way that I manage to always stay positive regardless of what is happening. I am confident in myself and who I am because I spent so long looking for external validation to get me through, when I realised if I couldn’t have my own back and trust in myself and my own abilities how can I expect anyone else to. . Looking back on this journey is so emotional because if I had let depression win and didn’t seek help I wouldn’t even be here to shout at the top of my lungs that IM A GOD DAMN FINALIST 💗 Please if you suffer with mental health, know that there is help out there, there is a life ahead of you that you will be so so grateful that you stuck around, there is a future version of you begging for you to just take each day at a time so you can live to experience the amazing opportunities in your future! You are strong and powerful and confident and there is a space for you in this world to achieve your dreams 💗 Okay soppyness aside, this week wasn’t my best week but it’s a part of my journey and I’m so happy to have created this look on my girlfriend, she is such a huge support to me so it was amazing to have her with me in the semifinals.
