Oxeye Daisy removal today with the help of @rei and Wasatch 100 runners! Oxeye daisy is an allelopathic invasive weed, which means it releases a biochemical into the soil that inhibits the growth, germination, and reproduction of surrounding vegetation. It was originally planted as an ornamental in many areas of the Cottonwood Canyons, but can cause significant ecological disruption. Shout out to our incredible volunteers for their hard work and stewardship! 🌼
