It was an immense thrill to interview and shoot @edwardsexton for last weekend’s main fashion feature in @ft_weekend. The rebel tailor has been a trope in the menswear narrative for decades. Potential iconoclasts and dandies come and go, go bust, or get lost in the infinite revolving doors of heritage brands. But the return of Edward Sexton to Savile Row after over 30 years is more significant than the arrival of any newcomer... Alongside his partner Tommy Nutter, he redefined tailoring for a new generation and made it SEXY. All the most amazing suits on The Beatles, Mick and Bianca Jagger, Elton John... all Sexton’s cut. Total genius. And a true gent. When I first went to the studio I told him straight up: “I’ve interviewed and photographed so many people, but I so rarely get to meet someone who I am genuinely in awe of”
