happy book birthday witch hunt!✨ Reading a sequel is no small thing and I’ll never take for granted what a gift it is to have gotten to write this book, what a gift is is to have people care about these characters. Thank you for picking up these books and for trusting me to continue their stories. writing the witch hunt was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. It was equal parts joyous and completely terrifying. There are so many people who got me over the finish line, including, and most of all the readers who reached out to me to tell me what the witch haven meant to them. I thought a lot about c.s. lewis’s quote “we read to know we’re not alone” while I wrote this book. I think that’s why I write too, and never once have I felt alone in this. I’ll never know how to say thank you for that. closing the chapter on Frances and Haxahaven feels like closing a chapter of my own life, but I’m so excited to see what comes next.
