I celebrated my birthday two weeks ago, and while it was not the homecoming I imagined (I was sick as a dog on the actual day, I’m talking, LORD ARE YOU CALLING ME HOME kind-of-sick.) you all celebrated with me and the beauties in this reels days before. It was an absolute joy to see the abundance WE were able to shower these young women with. And seeing their administrators and school leaders be floored by the love they were receiving. The principal, an incredible man and alum of the school himself shared he’d not seen anything like this. Cause it’s not just the ceiling fans, mosquito nets and mattresses we were able to gift. But food for the every single girl on campus dorming for the rest of month, mini stoves so that they can prepare the meals they need and sanitary pads and toiletries, so they feel support during their studies. ABUNDANT in every sense. These young women are resilient, joyous, and hopeful. I hope to embody their strength. They gave me so much and I’m grateful to you for helping me return the love I received. I’m still reflecting and processing the gift of my time in Ghana, but this moment made an indelible mark. Growing up, I imagined by this age I might have children of my own. Looks like this birthday God gave me an entire school. 🥰 Again, many thanks and deep gratitude for your contributions and making this happen.
