Our sweet girl, Charlie, passed away 2 weeks ago. Our hearts are completely shattered and I didn’t know it was possible to grieve so deeply over an animal. Charlie was one- of- a- kind. She was truly the most loving, sensitive, and empathetic dog to exist. She was Tim’s best friend for nearly 16 years, and I was lucky to be in her life for the last 6 of them. One of the many reasons I fell in love with Tim was because of the love and kindness he showed to animals, and Charlie was a perfect example of that. She comforted us on our best and worst days, loved deeply, and enjoyed being snuggled up with her sister more than anything in this world. I can’t thank her enough for getting us through the most monumental seasons of life, the celebration of our marriage and what felt like never-ending sickness during my first trimester. She shaped her rescue sister, Indie, into such a calm dog and comforted her daily. She truly sat right by our side and would offer solace to us throughout all of life’s moments. Our house certainly feels empty without her. We are comforted knowing she is in heaven, free of pain and discomfort. Her last moments were spent outside, surrounded by those who loved her most. She died peacefully in our arms, a luxury most do not get to experience. We love you, Charlie and will miss you forever 🤍 I know your new sister would love all of your snuggles, but we know you are always right by our side until we meet again.
