My fave way to pregame for the Bowl has always been while at my seats before the show starts. A lot of people choose to pregame at the nearby parks and parking lots or outside the Bowl walls. But there’s nothing like finding your seats an hour or so before the show and breaking open a bottle of wine with the Bowl shell before you. Especially after that long trek up the hill! Plus, everyone is still picnicking outside so there’s still plenty of room to set down glasses and bottles before they take their seats. My fave drinks to bring are wine (preferably with a screw top so I can close it up if I can’t finish it) and batched cocktails (usually something that doesn’t need ice, like a frozen martini). For this show we had @drinkmarcel Love Now rosé and a batch of @watersheddistillery’s limited release strawberry gin with Lillet. Just packed acrylic glasses and we were good! Btw this Bowl show was my first one since the pandemic began. So cool to be back and with Blondie, Billie Eilish, the Count Basie Orchestra and more on the stage singing Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra songs. Only thing I didn’t miss?
