Once in a while i think about Barbados electing a black lesbian woman who passed gay marriage law without any of the identity politics culture wars in a very religious country and this cultured BBC reporter asking her “should gay people be allowed in Barbados” so basically asking for genocide of Gay folks in Barbados and i think about the legacies of power structures that black folks are responding in regards to who one loves even when that power structure isnt as obvious as this bbc reporter
