:: Progress :: Here are some before & after shots of the Shangrila master bath renovation. When designing this bathroom, my wife @jchilies and I wanted a modern yet relaxing spa vibe with neutral tones that wouldn’t compete with the beautiful architecture of the space. We choose a funky yet neutral large chip Terrazzo floor and stacked two tone 2x8 for the shower surround. As with the rest of the home, keeping as much of the original wood and cabinetry was very important to us. The refinished mahogany cabinetry was wrapped in a white quartz waterfall and globe pendant lights were added to the redwood lighting soffit. The home was built with a Roman shower/tub with a slider that lead to a private deck. This was such a unique feature that we had to keep! The original deck was completely rotten and rebuilt with horizontal 1x2 smooth redwood. Future plans are to add an outdoor soaking tub to the deck 🛀
