18 June 1961: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. addresses a crowd gathered at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, rallying for desegregation. The ACLU SoCal proudly co-sponsored the event, which aimed at raising $33k toward desegregation efforts in the South. On MLK Day and in our centennial year, we honor and commit to Dr. King’s vision and legacy.
