Our very own Erin Brockovich (Donna Patterson) was on @bbcwomanshour this morning telling her story of discrimination by the supermarket @morrisons. It’s her first live interview, the next will be on @packedlunchc4 on Thursday where I will be joining her to explain how we supported Donna and what needs to change so that more of these stories come to light. Yesterday @morrisons issued a statement in response to Donna’s experience which said: ‘We don’t accept that we acted unfairly and believe a number of the facts have been misrepresented and we are considering an appeal.’ So, let me get this straight, rather than apologising, and saying we will right this wrong so that women in their company feel properly supported, they are threatening her and further victimising her. Way to go Morrisons!
