Pulled pork sandos — Recently discovered the joy that is pork shoulder with @madewithlovebyro and never looking back. It’s a super cheap cut of meat, but when cooked low and slow (think 350 for 4-5 hours), the fat renders and leaves you with the most tender shredded pork. Here I used it to make BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and they were *chefs kiss* — Season porch with salt all over and let sit while heating up a Dutch oven on the stove. Pre-heat oven to 350. Add olive oil, and sear all sides of the pork until a nice crust forms. I then added some picked jalapeño juice and one diced onion, but anything else you want to cook with the pork will do. Put the lid on the Dutch oven and roast for 4-5 hours, until the meat easily shreds and pulls off the bone. This will depend on how large the piece is. I shredded the pork and removed most of the fat. I also saved the juice that had accumulated in the pot to pour over the pork. — Here I served it on @kingarthurbaking buns with some Eastern NC-style vinegar BBQ sauce and slaw.
