Opening a jump is something really special. It's a lot of unknown because nobody did it before you, so you have to do the research yourself to make it happens and that's the exciting part. This jump is my opening number 50.It's the result of a lot of (fun) work. It could start with a picture, a mountain you saw when you drove or an idea ..then you try to find more pictures of the face you want to jump, you look at the maps, you study the possible lines, landings...then you start to dream about it, and if you think it's possible, you start to check how to go to the top, what do you need to access to the potential exit, ropes, crampons, climbing gear?? Then you try to find a friend you trust to share the adventure with and you take the time to really go on the top, and maybe not jump. Sometimes it's easy sometimes it's a mission. You still don't know if it's jumpable before you arrive to the exit point and you laser it and get the datas. But what a great feeling when you actually find an exit, and when you can fly your wingsuit where no one has flown before. What a trip to open this one!!! What a beautiful place to fly! I used the Aura 5 , one of my favourite suit so far. Short start, glide, speed, agility, flair, she got it all.
